SF-1 The metal composite self-lubricating bearing is based on high-quality low-carbon steel, sintered spherical porous copper powder layer in the middle, and the surface is made of PTFE-based wear-resistant lubricating material as the bearing working layer. This material has excellent mechanical bearing capacity. The powder layer can not only transfer the heat generated during the operation of the bearing in time, but also improve the bonding strength between the plastic layer and the substrate.

 

PTFE is designed for complete dry friction, and a variety of materials have been developed based on lubrication, coefficient of friction and durability requirements. Wear resistance

SF-1 has excellent wear resistance, which is mainly due to the special molecular structure of PTFE. SF-1 wear can be roughly divided into three stages, and the corresponding friction coefficients also have three situations.

1)"Run-in" stage: The surface layer PTFE mixture transfers to the dual surface to fill the dual surface pits and form a transfer film. At this time, the friction coefficient is larger and the material wears faster. As shown in the curve I in the figure.

2)"Stable" wear stage: The friction after running-in becomes the friction between PTFE, the friction coefficient is low and stable, and the wear rate of the material is low and stable. It is shown in the curve of zone II in the figure.

3)"Sharp" wear phase: The PTFE lubricant in the pores of the porous layer is consumed, and a sufficient amount of lubricant cannot be obtained between the friction interfaces. The lubrication between the friction surfaces is poor, the friction coefficient rises rapidly, and the wear rate of the material is also sharply accelerated. When 70% of the bronze is exposed, the life of JYB-10 is nearly terminated. As shown in the curve III in the figure.

The main factors affecting life expectancy

1) Influence of PV value

PV value is an effective indicator to determine the wear life of SF-1. If life extension is required, the PV value must be reduced.

2) Influence of ambient temperature

The higher the ambient temperature, the shorter the service life of SF-1.

3) The effect of the pair

When the pair is made of alloy steel or hard chrome-plated shaft, and the surface roughness is within the range of Ra=0.4~0.63, the service life of the SF-1 bearing can be significantly improved.
